Start directly with peripheral blood mononuclear cells

The Monocyte Attachment Medium allows for the efficient adherence selection of monocytes from freshly isolated human mononuclear cells while maintaining optimal cell health. Thus, the time-consuming and costly immunomagnetic purification of monocytes is not necessary.

Ready-to-use: M1-/M2-Macrophage Generation Media DXF

The PromoCell M1-Macrophage Generation Medium DXF contains GM-CSF and allows for the generation of M1-polarized macrophages, whereas the M2-Macrophage Generation Medium DXF contains M-CSF and produces M2-polarized macrophages. Both media are ready-to-use and tested in-house for successful differentiation of M1-/M2-macrophages via flow cytometry.

Fully customizable: Macrophage Base Medium DXF

The Macrophage Base Medium DXF is the user-customizable version of the Macrophage Generation Media DXF and does not include cytokines. It comes without cytokines as a universally applicable MDM culture system featuring a fully user-customizable macrophage differentiation and activation process (see Figure).

Defined and xeno-free (DXF)

All PromoCell Macrophage Generation Media DXF are defined and xeno-free media formulations, free of all animal-derived components and substances of human origin with Human Serum Albumin as the only exception.

PromoFectin-Macrophage

PromoFectin-Macrophage has been developed for optimal transfection of the hard-to-transfect macrophages (e.g. primary human macrophages derived from blood monocytes) and macrophage-derived cell lines such as RAW 264.7 and works also with dendritic cells. PromoFectin-Macrophage is a mannose-bearing variant of their standard PromoFectin reagent that binds to cells expressing mannose-specific membrane receptors - such as macrophages, monocytes and dendritic cells - leading to enhanced internalization of the DNA complexes. PromoFectin-Macrophage is compatible with serum and antibiotics, thus eliminating the need for media changes.
